International Girls Day
What an honor to be invited to speak at a public high school today about Muslim women. We covered many topics from the very first Muslim women, Islam as a feminist religion, how Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) helped with household chores, hijab, the iCOVER book, Islamophobia, and much much more.
This was a much needed platform. So proud of Oak Lawn High School for representing diverse authors to their public school.
